Why cricket betting sites need their own rating
Most "best online casino" lists are written for slot players. They rank sites by the number of games, the size of the jackpot network or the design of the lobby. A cricket bettor cares about different things: how deep the IPL line is on a Tuesday night, whether you can cash out mid-over, how the odds on a top-batsman market compare with the exchange, and how quickly a UPI withdrawal lands after a Sunday final.
By "cricket casino" we mean a hybrid operator: a sportsbook with a full cricket line and a casino lobby under one wallet, one account and one identity check. Every site in this rating meets that definition. Pure casinos without a sportsbook and pure bookmakers without casino games were excluded - you can find them in our separate ratings.
- Market depth, not game count. We count pre-match and live markets per match across Tests, ODIs, T20Is and the franchise leagues.
- Local-first payments. UPI, Paytm and PhonePe deposits in USD equivalent and, above all, withdrawals back to the same wallet.
- Live product. Streaming, ball-by-ball data, cash-out speed and how the app behaves when 200,000 people bet on the same over.
- Reliability under load. Payout record during peak weeks - IPL playoffs, World Cup knockouts - when weak operators delay and stall.
How we rate cricket betting sites and casinos
Every casino receives a score out of 10 built from five weighted criteria. Reliability carries the most weight on purpose: a great bonus is worthless if a site invents reasons not to pay. A casino needs at least 8.0 overall to enter the top 10, and any score below 6.0 on reliability removes it from the list regardless of everything else.
| Criterion | Weight | What we measure |
|---|---|---|
| Reliability & licence | 30% | Licence validity, years in operation, complaint-to-resolution ratio, segregated player funds, how disputes were handled in our forum over 12 months. |
| Payout speed | 25% | Median time from withdrawal request to money in the wallet, measured on six test withdrawals per casino (UPI, card and crypto where offered). |
| Cricket odds & markets | 20% | Average margin on match-winner and totals markets, number of markets per match, live coverage, streaming, cash-out availability. |
| Bonuses | 15% | Real value after wagering, not the headline number. Minimum odds, expiry, maximum bet during wagering, cashback and reload offers for regulars. |
| Support & apps | 10% | Live-chat response time at night, Hindi and English support, app stability, push notifications for wickets, biometric login. |
The testing routine
- Register with real data and complete verification the way a normal player would - no press contacts, no priority queues.
- Deposit $25 via UPI (or the closest local method) and note whether the money is credited instantly and whether a fee is charged.
- Place 20 bets across formats - Test, ODI, T20 franchise - including at least five live bets and two cash-outs, and record the margin on each market.
- Play the casino side for two hours: Teen Patti and Andar Bahar live tables, two crash games, five slots - checking RTP disclosures and game-provider certificates.
- Request a withdrawal to the same UPI wallet and time it to the minute. Repeat on a match night at 11 PM and on a public holiday.
- Contact support at 1 AM with a real question about bonus terms and rate the answer for speed and accuracy.
- Re-check after 30 days - odds, limits, T&Cs and whether the account is still in good standing - before the score is published.
What gets a casino removed: a confirmed unpaid withdrawal, a licence suspension, retroactive changes to bonus terms, or a support team that asks for documents it never uses. Removals are announced in our changelog and the casino cannot return for six months.

Online cricket betting: formats and markets
Cricket is the most-bet sport in South Asia and the second most-traded sport on the exchanges worldwide, so every serious casino covers it. The difference between a good and a great site is how many markets it opens per match and how long it keeps them open once the game is live.
| Format / league | Season | Markets per match (top sites) | Typical margin |
|---|---|---|---|
| IPL | March – May | 180 – 260 | 4.5 – 6% |
| Test matches (WTC) | Year-round | 60 – 120 (incl. session markets) | 5 – 7% |
| ODI & T20 internationals | Year-round | 100 – 180 | 5 – 6.5% |
| PSL, BBL, CPL, SA20, The Hundred | Feb–Mar · Dec–Jan · Aug–Sep · Jan–Feb · Jul–Aug | 80 – 150 | 6 – 8% |
| Domestic (Ranji, Vijay Hazare, county) | Oct – Mar · Apr – Sep | 20 – 50 | 8 – 10% |
The markets worth understanding
- Match winner - the liquid market with the lowest margin; in Tests a third option, the draw, appears.
- Totals (over/under) - total match runs, first-innings runs, runs in the powerplay, runs off a single over. The 6-over and 10-over lines are where sharp bettors live.
- Top batsman / top bowler - higher margin but often mispriced late in a tournament when squads rotate.
- Player props - a batter's runs line, sixes, wickets for a bowler, method of first dismissal. Available on every IPL game at the top four casinos.
- Fall of next wicket & session betting - the classic live markets; ODI and Test sessions are settled on runs scored between breaks.
- Toss winner, tied match, highest opening partnership - low-information markets; treat them as entertainment, not investment.
- Bet builder - combine several markets from one match into a single price. Convenient, but the margin compounds with every leg.
Cash-out lets you settle a bet before the match ends at a price the casino offers. It is useful for locking in profit when a chase collapses, but the offer always includes the casino's margin twice - once when you placed the bet and once when you close it. Use it as insurance, not a strategy.
Cricket betting odds, margin and how to spot value
All ten casinos display decimal odds by default. Decimal odds show the total return per unit staked: a $12 bet at 1.85 returns $18.50, of which $8.50 is profit. Converting odds to an implied probability is simply 1 ÷ odds - 1.85 implies 54.1%.
The margin (also called the overround or "vig") is the casino's built-in edge. Add the implied probabilities of every outcome in a market: anything above 100% is margin. For a T20 match priced 1.85 / 1.95 the sum is 54.1% + 51.3% = 105.4%, so the margin is roughly 5.4%. On the same match a weaker casino might offer 1.80 / 1.87 - a margin close to 9%. Over a season that difference is the whole of a recreational bettor's expected loss.
| Market (IPL, pre-match) | Lowest margin (site) | Average of top 10 |
|---|---|---|
| Match winner | 4.6% (Stake) | 5.8% |
| Total match runs | 5.1% (1xBet) | 6.4% |
| Top team batsman | 9.8% (1win) | 13.5% |
| Player runs line (over/under) | 6.2% (Mostbet) | 7.9% |
Two practical habits: compare the match-winner price across at least two casinos before every bet (the sidebar top 3 is a quick shortcut), and be sceptical of "odds boosts". A boosted 2.10 on a favourite is often paired with a maximum stake of $6 and a rule that winnings from boosts cannot be withdrawn until wagered - read the small print under the boost badge.
Cricket casino games fans actually play
The casino side of these sites is not an afterthought - for most operators it earns more than the sportsbook. Three categories dominate among cricket bettors in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, and each carries a different house edge.
| Category | Popular titles | Typical RTP | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Live dealer | Teen Patti, Andar Bahar, Lightning Roulette, Crazy Time | 96 – 98.5% | Hindi-speaking dealers at 1win, Mostbet and Pin-Up. Lowest edge on Andar Bahar main bets. |
| Crash games | Aviator, JetX, Spaceman | 96 – 97% | Provably fair at Stake, BC.Game and JetTon. Extremely fast - set a session limit before you open one. |
| Slots | Gates of Olympus, Sweet Bonanza, Book of Dead | 94 – 96.5% | Check the RTP in the game's info panel - some casinos license lower-RTP versions of the same slot. |
| Cricket-themed games | Cricket Star, Cricket Legends, virtual T20 | 95 – 96% | Virtual cricket runs 24/7 with a random-number outcome - it is a slot with a scoreboard, not a sport. |
RTP (return to player) is the long-run percentage a game pays back; 96% RTP means a 4% house edge across millions of rounds. It says nothing about a single session. Volatility matters more for your bankroll: a high-volatility slot can eat a $60 balance in ten minutes or triple it - both are normal.
Cricket betting bonuses: types, wagering and the fine print
A bonus is a marketing cost the casino expects to recover through wagering requirements. That does not make bonuses bad - used correctly they cut your effective margin - but the headline number is the least important line in the offer.
| Bonus type | How it works | Typical wagering | Best at |
|---|---|---|---|
| Welcome match | 100–500% of the first deposit(s) as bonus funds | 5x sports · 30–40x casino | 1win, Pin-Up |
| Free bet | Stake refunded as a bet token; only winnings are paid | 1–3x | Melbet, 1xBet |
| Free spins | Spins on a named slot; winnings become bonus funds | 30–40x on winnings | Mostbet, Vavada |
| Cashback | 5–10% of weekly net losses returned | 0–3x | Pin-Up, Vavada |
| Accumulator boost | +5–50% on winnings from multi-leg bets | None | 1xBet, Melbet |
| Rakeback / VIP | A share of the house edge returned on every bet | None | Stake, BC.Game |
Wagering, worked through
Suppose you deposit $120 and receive a 100% sports bonus with 5x wagering at minimum odds 1.40. You must place $600 in qualifying bets before the bonus and its winnings can be withdrawn. At a 6% average margin the expected cost of that turnover is about $35 - so the "free" $120 is worth roughly $85 in expectation, and much less if the terms exclude the markets you actually bet on. The same $120 as a casino bonus at 35x requires $4,200 of play; at a 4% house edge the expected cost is $170, more than the bonus itself.
Red flags in the terms
- Expiry shorter than 7 days on a bonus that needs 5x or more turnover.
- A maximum bet while wagering (often $6) - one larger bet voids the whole bonus.
- "Sticky" bonuses that are removed from the balance on withdrawal, taking a share of your own deposit with them.
- Excluded markets: some casinos count only accumulators with three or more legs, which forces you into higher margin.
- Maximum cash-out from free spins or no-deposit offers - usually capped at $60–10,000.
- The right to change terms "at any time" - legitimate sites version their T&Cs and date the changes.
Promo codes on this page are entered during registration or in the deposit form. They unlock the larger of the casino's standard welcome offers and, at 1win and Mostbet, a higher first-deposit percentage than the public offer. The code is the same everywhere - VPE - and it never adds extra wagering.
Payments: UPI deposits, withdrawals and KYC
Deposits are instant everywhere; withdrawals are where casinos differ. The table shows the methods available at most of the top 10 and the times we measured. "Payout" in the rating is the median across all methods a casino offers, weighted toward UPI because that is what most players use.
| Method | Deposit | Withdrawal | Limits (per tx) | Fees |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| UPI (PhonePe, Paytm, GPay) | Instant | 15 min – 24 h | $5 – $1,200 | None |
| Debit / credit cards | Instant | 1 – 5 banking days | $6 – $2,400 | Bank may charge FX |
| Net banking / IMPS | Instant – 15 min | 2 – 24 h | $12 – $6,000 | None |
| E-wallets (Skrill, Neteller, AstroPay) | Instant | 1 – 12 h | $10 – $3,600 | Wallet fee 1–2% |
| Crypto (USDT TRC-20, BTC, ETH) | 1 – 3 confirmations | Instant – 1 h | $10 – no upper limit | Network fee only |
Verification (KYC) without the pain
Every licensed casino must confirm that you are over 18 and that the payment method is yours. Expect to upload a government ID (passport, Aadhaar or driving licence), a selfie, and occasionally a bank statement or utility bill. At the top three the check takes under two hours; at the slowest sites in our test it took two days during the PSL. Three rules save most of the trouble: verify before your first withdrawal, not after; use one payment method for both directions; and register with the exact name that appears on your ID.
Why withdrawals get delayed: unmet bonus wagering (the most common reason by far), a withdrawal to a method you never deposited with, a name mismatch between the account and the UPI ID, or a first withdrawal above $600 that triggers a source-of-funds check. None of these is a scam; all of them are avoidable.
Licensing, security and fair play on cricket betting sites
A licence is the only thing that gives you a complaint route outside the casino itself. Nine of the ten sites here hold a Curaçao licence; since the 2024 reform the Curaçao Gaming Control Board issues licences directly to operators and runs a player-complaint portal, which has noticeably improved response times. Some brands also hold local licences in Kenya, Nigeria or Peru that do not apply to South Asian players.
| Regulator | Strictness | Player protection | Accepts South Asian players |
|---|---|---|---|
| Curaçao GCB | Medium (improving) | Complaint portal, licence validator page, mandatory RG tools | Yes - most brands in this rating |
| Malta Gaming Authority | High | Segregated funds, ADR bodies, published sanctions | Rarely - most MGA brands geo-block India |
| UK Gambling Commission | Very high | Affordability checks, GAMSTOP, strict advertising rules | No - UK residents only |
| Isle of Man / Gibraltar | High | Ring-fenced player funds, audited operators | Some brands |
| PAGCOR (Philippines), Kahnawake | Medium | Basic dispute process | Yes |
How to check a casino yourself in two minutes
- Scroll to the footer and click the licence seal. It must open a validator page on the regulator's domain showing the same company name and the domain you are on.
- Check the padlock in the address bar and that the domain matches the one in the licence - clones and "mirror" sites are the most common way players lose money.
- Open a slot and look for the game-provider logo (Pragmatic Play, Evolution, Spribe). Certified providers publish their RNG audits by eCOGRA, iTech Labs or GLI.
- Find the responsible-gambling page: deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion must be available in the account settings, not by e-mailing support.
- Search our forum for the brand name plus "withdrawal". A pattern of unresolved complaints over months is the clearest warning sign there is.
Cricket betting apps for iOS and Android
More than 85% of bets in our data are placed from a phone, so the app is the product. All ten casinos offer an Android APK downloaded from their own site; iOS availability varies because the App Store restricts real-money gambling apps by country. Where there is no iOS app, the mobile site adds itself to the home screen as a web app and supports the same features, including biometric login.
- Download the APK only from the casino's official domain (the link is on the rating cards).
- Allow installation from this source when Android asks - Settings → Apps → Special access → Install unknown apps.
- Open the app, log in, and enable notifications for wickets and cash-out offers.
- Updates arrive inside the app; never install an "update" from a Telegram forward or a mirror site.
- Check the App Store first - 1win, Mostbet, 1xBet and Pin-Up publish native apps in several regions.
- If the app is not shown in your region, open the mobile site in Safari and tap Share → Add to Home Screen.
- Enable Face ID login in account settings; the web app supports it on iOS 17 and later.
- Live streaming works in both the native app and Safari; data use is roughly 400 MB per hour at 720p.
What separates a good cricket app from a bad one: a ball-by-ball centre that updates before the TV picture, one-tap cash-out with a confirmation step, a bet slip that keeps your selections when the odds change, and stable performance during the IPL final when traffic is ten times a normal evening. In our stress test only 1win, Mostbet and Stake kept bet placement under two seconds throughout the last over.
Is online cricket betting legal in India? Regulation in South Asia
The legal picture changes quickly and differs between countries and, in India, between states. India passed the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act in 2025, which restricts real-money online gaming, and several states - including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu - had already banned it. Bangladesh and Pakistan prohibit gambling broadly; Sri Lanka licenses land-based casinos and is drafting online rules; Nepal permits casinos for foreigners only.
The casinos in this rating are licensed offshore and accept registrations from the region, but that does not make betting legal where you live. Check the current rules in your state or country before you register. Nothing on this page is legal advice; VPE is an information resource and does not organise gambling or accept bets.
Responsible gambling
Every casino here offers deposit limits, session reminders, time-outs from 24 hours to six weeks and permanent self-exclusion. Set a deposit limit on day one - it is the single most effective tool, and raising it later always comes with a 24-hour cooling-off period. Treat cricket betting as paid entertainment: decide the month's budget in advance, keep a unit size of 1–2% of that budget per bet, and never chase a losing session with a bigger stake.
- Betting to win back yesterday's losses
- Hiding stakes or deposits from family
- Borrowing to fund an account
- Betting on matches you don't care about, just to have action
- Feeling restless when you can't bet
- Gambling Therapy - online support in English and Hindi, 24/7
- Gamblers Anonymous - meetings in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Colombo and Dhaka
- GamCare & BeGambleAware - guides and self-assessment tools
- Casino self-exclusion - in account settings at every site in this rating
Eight mistakes new cricket bettors make
- Choosing by bonus size. A 500% bonus with 40x wagering is worth less than a 100% bonus with 5x. Read the wagering line first.
- Skipping verification. Upload documents on day one; a delayed first withdrawal is almost always a KYC problem.
- Betting only on match winner. The lowest-margin market is also the one where the casino prices most efficiently. Totals and player lines are where value hides.
- Depositing with one method and withdrawing with another. Anti-fraud rules will send you back to the original method.
- Accumulators with six legs. The margin compounds: six legs at 6% each is a 30%+ house edge.
- Chasing in live betting. Live odds move in seconds; betting emotionally after a dropped catch is how sessions collapse.
- Using mirror sites from search results. Bookmark the official domain and open the app from that bookmark only.
- Ignoring limits. Set deposit and loss limits before the first bet, not after the first bad week.
